Auto Tack Mat was created out of necessity, when we could not find a suitable product to help keep rodents from occupying the engines of our cars. We live in a suburban area near a large wilderness park and our neighborhood is visited by various wildlife, including coyotes, deer, skunks, and a variety of rodents.
After finding rodent droppings and chewing damage in our engines, we searched for a product to help keep rodents out of our cars’ engines but could not find a suitable product. We did not want to rely on a strategy that required frequent maintenance, and we did not want to use a noise-emitting product that that might disturb our pets or our neighbor’s pets.
The Auto Tack Mat was created to provide an “inhospitable surface” to deter rodent occupation.
